Here are some tips to enhance your chances of capturing incredible 3D images:

1. Hydration is key: Boost the amount of amniotic fluid around your baby by staying well-hydrated. Aim to drink at least 3 liters of water daily for a minimum of 5 days leading up to your appointment. Ample hydration ensures clearer fluid, resulting in sharper images. The exciting part is that with sufficient fluid. So, start sipping away! Additionally, staying hydrated not only aids in obtaining stunning images but also provides a clean and comfortable environment for your baby. Great 3D images rely on enough amniotic fluid being around babies face and sometimes there is just not enough fluid, even with correct hydration. We’ll always try our best!
2. Optimal timing: If you're seeking those adorable chubby cheek images, schedule your appointment for approx 28 weeks, regardless of your placenta's position. 3D images can be done anytime right up until delivery but best results are usually around 28 weeks.
3. Encourage movement: A cold and sugary drink can sometimes work wonders in waking up baby!  While a sleeping baby is undeniably adorable, it's ideal for them to be slightly awake during the scan to witness their eyes opening and capture some facial expressions. Consider observing your baby's movements during the day and choose a time for the appointment when they are usually more alert.
4. Empty bladder after 20 weeks: If you're 20 weeks pregnant or further along, ensure your bladder is empty upon arrival. For 3D imaging sessions from this stage onward, a completely empty bladder is preferred. At this point, your baby has grown sufficiently, eliminating the need for your bladder to assist in obtaining clear images. Goodbye, bladder interference! For scans under 20 weeks, if possible, please have your bladder half full.

When scheduling your scan, please bear in mind that your baby may not always strike the most photogenic poses. Embrace the uniqueness of your little one, as some babies simply enjoy snuggling their hands, feet, or even cuddling the placenta. Treasure every precious detail, regardless of how your baby decides to pose for the images.
